Your Life ABA's Clinical Supervision Program

Your Life ABA (YLABA) is dedicated to cultivating excellence in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) professionals through our robust Clinical Supervision Program. Our priority is the growth and development of our team members, and helping each of our employees meet their professional goals. The Clinical Supervision Program offers guidance, resources, structure, and supervision to team members pursuing certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), ensuring a consistent and top-tier supervision experience across all YLABA service locations.

Purpose of the Clinical Supervision Program

YLABA's Clinical Supervision Program is multifaceted, aiming to provide elevated mentorship to individuals pursuing BCBA/BCaBA certification. The program is dedicated to offering unparalleled guidance throughout their certification journey. Moreover, there is a strong emphasis on comprehensive preparation to improve overall pass rates for BCBA and BCaBA exams. Beyond certification, the program develops supervisees into highly skilled, independent, and confident clinical leaders within the ABA field.

Program Participants

The program is exclusively tailored for employees of YLABA or New Story-affiliated schools. Participants must be in good standing, demonstrating a commitment to professional development. They should be enrolled in a Supervised Fieldwork program through a university or have already completed the program.

Program Details

Participants in YLABA's Clinical Supervision Program, often Senior Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), make a dedicated work commitment by committing to a minimum of 25 billable hours per week. In addition to these hours, they allocate extra time to unrestricted activities, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching experience. The supervision process is initiated with a thorough interview, covering essential details such as the supervision handbook, contract terms, and job description, setting the foundation for a structured and supportive mentorship journey.

Program Structure

YLABA’s Clinical Supervision Program adheres to the guidelines set by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB), incorporating key elements such as the CSUN Structured Supervision Folder, BDS Modules, rotation experience, and meticulous experience tracking. The program is designed to provide a well-rounded and structured monthly experience, ensuring that supervisees receive comprehensive training and support. Regular feedback, both written and through surveys, plays a crucial role in maintaining and improving the quality of the mentorship experience.

Expectations for Supervisors

YLABA establishes clear expectations for supervisors participating in the supervision program. Supervisors are mandated to adhere to the BACB requirements and experience standards. Furthermore, YLABA imposes additional requirements, including a minimum of two years of BCBA experience, regular attendance at meetings and training sessions, and strict compliance with the program's expectations. This ensures that supervisors bring a wealth of experience and dedication to their mentoring roles.

Expectations for Supervisees

For supervisees aspiring to achieve BCBA or BCaBA certification, YLABA outlines specific expectations. Staff members expressing interest in supervision must adhere to BACB standards and additional requirements set by YLABA. This includes being enrolled in BACB coursework, maintaining employment for a minimum of three months, and demonstrating qualities of teamwork and commitment to the field of ABA. These criteria ensure that supervisees are well-prepared and dedicated to their professional development. For additional details, contact recruiter@salisburymgt.com.
